Youth groups, choirs, cell groups and Bible study groups sponsor children.

Businesses, co-workers and Christian schools also sponsor children and contribute to the special funds.
This extra money buys food for families, medicine for children with T.B. or diabetes, pays for operations for appendicitis, hospital bills for children who have been burned and various other needs our children encounter that aren't covered by the regular sponsorship amount.

Some families put the photo of their child on a jar that's kept on the kitchen table. As family members receive money, they put it in the "Dina" jar so Dina can eat. This gives even the youngest children an opportunity to give when they are given money or find pennies.

Twelve year old Zach was given $69 for his birthday. Soon after that he received a letter from Riziki, a boy in the Democratic Republic of Congo sponsored by his family. Zach wrote to Riziki and said, "I heard you were having some problems with food. So we have been praying for you, and God for some reason gave me $69 to think about. It didn't take much time for me to think about it. I'm giving you the money to have for food and other stuff. Stay strong in Christ. Love, Zach."
